Apply Better helps UK job seekers compare practical tools for CVs, applications and interview prep. The first snapshot can be used without uploading a CV or entering an email address. This page explains what is collected in the current version.

What We Collect

• Your selected quiz answers, including the outcome you are seeing, so the on-page plan can be relevant.
• Optional context you type into the “anything else” box.
• Local browser activity, such as generated plans, audit-interest clicks and clicked tool links, to make the on-page recommendations work on your device.
• CV or job-description details only if you choose to share them for a deeper check and give explicit upload consent.

How We Use It

• To show an instant action plan, recommended tools and live CTAs on the page.
• To let you save the action plan as a PDF from your browser.
• To improve the comparison and recommendations.

CVs And Job Details

The initial snapshot is designed to work from survey answers only. A deeper CV or job-description check will be optional and will ask for explicit consent before upload. CVs can include contact details, employment history, education, salary clues and other personal data, so the upload step will explain what is parsed, stored, shared and deleted before you share it.

What We Do Not Do

• We do not require an email address for the first plan.
• We do not use bought-in lists.
• We do not send marketing from the current free snapshot flow.
• We do not require a CV for the first recommendation.

Affiliate Links

Some tool links may be affiliate links. Apply Better may receive a commission if you buy through one of those links. Recommendations are chosen for practical fit, and free or non-affiliate options may still appear where they are useful. Tool buttons may pass through an Apply Better outbound page first so visits to partner categories can be counted without putting personal data in the URL.

Deletion

The current first-pass plan runs in the browser and does not need an account. If a deeper check collects CV, job-description or contact details, Apply Better will explain deletion before you share them and provide a deletion route afterwards.

Form Provider

The current first-pass flow does not need a form provider. The audit waitlist may use a simple email link until a secure intake route is ready. If a later version uses a form for deeper checks or feedback, the page will say that before collecting details.
